A friend of mine shared this with me. I love her emphasis on self care!

Why the name?

Healing Through Generations is the name of this blog. It's something that I came up with years ago during a rough part of my own healing journey. And by "came up with," I mean its a thought that came to me one day. I felt in the moment that the words came to my mind, that it would be important for me to follow through with this. However, I didn't know when I'd feel ready to start writing. And I didn't know if there was a specific kind of healing I wanted to focus on. Physical? Spiritual? Mental? Emotional? Healing in relationships? If so, What kind of relationships? I still don't have a specific type picked out. My topic is broad. For the last couple of years, I've just been sharing videos that inspire me and go along with the theme I set. There aren't any rules of what kind of healing I can or want to talk about. I just feel the desire and need to focus on healing...to write down some things I experience today and things I've experienced in the past that have been a part of my healing journey, and keep sharing the things I see in the world that inspires awareness, knowledge, insight, hope, connection, courage and any current or missing step on the healing path.

If You're in a relationship by Jay Shetty

6 Types of People who do Not deserve to hear your shame story

I love this. I love how she says we stomp over those few who really care to please those who aren't as important to us..... Good thing to work on changing!

Empathy - Brene Brown

Empathy versus sympathy. I love how she says empathy is feeling with people. Too often, we try to come up with a solution, before connecting and really listening. Love her!
